Bridgend Youth Theatre has established an enviable reputation for producing quality productions based on providing quality experiences for its young members. A dedicated team of tutors, technicians, writers and designers are always at hand to build pathways for our young performers and back stage trainees.
Bridgend Youth Theatre has over 500 members from five to 25 years old. Workshops take place in The Grand Pavilion in Porthcawl and the Berwyn Centre in Nantymoel.

The young people have not been ‘selected’ through auditions and interviews: we only ask that they fully commit themselves to working together, ensuring that the experience is both enriching and rewarding.

Mission statement
This youth theatre will address the issues and celebrate the right to express our creativity, thereby establishing values which will help our young people develop their vision of a just and caring society.
We aim to produce quality work with the emphasis being placed on involvement in the creative process.
The young people have not been ‘selected’ through auditions and interviews – our only demand being that they fully commit themselves to working together, ensuring that the experience is both enriching and rewarding.
We offer open access with no auditions on enrolling.
We offer backstage and design tuition as well as performing experiences.
We are proud of our work and of our commitment to each other.
We make a difference.
