Through encouraging and providing participation and involvement in art and culture, the service aims to positively improve economic and social development and to build on the county borough’s reputation as an important area for the arts.

Connecting creativity in South Wales

Bridgend Arts and Community Development team is delighted to be part of a new initiative in South Wales called ArtsConnect. We are now working with our arts services colleagues in three other local authorities - Rhondda Cynon Taf, Merthyr Tydfil and The Vale of Glamorgan - to increase the range and quality of arts experiences for people living in and visiting our region.

Collectively we have an impressive array of theatres, galleries and a varied programme of arts development opportunities. As part of ArtsConnect we are collaborating together to develop a bigger and brighter future for the arts in our areas.
