Mobile Library Service

The mobile library is part of the FREE library service provided by Bridgend Library and Information Service. Everyone is welcome to use the mobile library.

The mobile library visits over 130 stopping points throughout Bridgend County Borough, once every three weeks. Pick up a timetable at any of our branch libraries or check out the timetable below

The vehicle carries approximately 3,000 books (with 6,000 in reserve) and new books are regularly added to stock. Wheelchair access is provided by a stair lift.

HOW TO JOIN

Joining the mobile library is simple and free. Once you are a member, you and your family can borrow as many books as you need. If you are unable to return your usual mobile library stop don't worry, take them back when it is next in your area: there are NO fines. In an emergency, books may be returned to any branch library.

Why not come and join us when the mobile library is next in your area? If you are new to the area, visiting the mobile library is one way of getting to know your new neighbours.

Any of the 350,000 books in libraries throughout Bridgend County Borough can be reserved free of charge and can be delivered to you by the mobile library.

For a small charge any item from Bridgend Library and Information Service's collections of music CD's, DVD's and language courses can be reserved

The Local and Family History Centre holds extensive resources for the study of family and local history. Please ask for a leaflet.

FREE use of the internet is available on computers at 12 libraries throughout Bridgend County Borough.
