Following the huge success of the 'Bang Up Your Old Banger' scheme, Bridgend County Borough Council is continuing the abandoned car amnesty scheme until further notice.
So, if you've got an unsightly old car that you want to get rid of, it's not too late to let the council take it off your hands, by collecting and disposing of it free of charge.
Call the council's Clean up the County helpline on (01656) 643 443 to take advantage of the scheme. Vehicle owners must provide proof of ownership and personal identification.
Reporting suspected abandoned vehicles
To report a suspected abandoned vehicle, please phone the council on (01656) 643 443 with as much information as you can so that it can be located.
If possible, please provide:
|
Vehicle registration number (if legible) |
|
Colour of vehicle |
|
Location of vehicle |
An officer will go out the vehicle and affix a sticker and a search will be carried out for the vehicle's owner. If the owner can't be found, the vehicle will be removed and destroyed after a period.
