Connecting generations – be safe online
To mark Safer Internet Day, Maesteg Comprehensive School is offering local parents an opportunity to become more familiar with current and emerging online technologies and how to use them safely and responsibly, at a special parents evening on Tuesday 7 February, 6–7pm.
The focus of the evening is ‘connecting generations’ and aims to encourage families to explore online technologies together. The hour long session will feature a Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (CEOP) film offering a parents’ and carers’ guide to the internet, as well as discussion around practical steps that people can put in place to protect their children online.
