Computer courses available in your local library
Did you know that that you can gain a computer qualification at your local library in Bridgend County Borough? Whether you need an IT qualification for employment or study purposes or just want to learn for your personal interest, call in at your local library and find out about joining an ECDL (European Computer Drive Licence) course.
Supported by Bridgend County Borough Council’s Bridgend Information and Library Services, the ECDL courses are split into modules to give you the options you need to meet your qualification requirements and future career plans. Modules cover IT security, Microsoft Word, Excel and spreadsheets, the database programme Access, PowerPoint, email and the internet.
In a recent audit, Bridgend Library and Information Service was awarded a Grade A by the British Computer Society for the quality of its teaching of the course. You don’t even need a computer at home, as you can follow the course using one of the public access computers in the library.
If you are interested, call E-Learning Manager Andrew Evans on 077 893 71810 or ask at your local library.
