Honour for Mayor and Leader
The Mayor of Bridgend County Borough, Councillor Jeff Tildesley, and the Leader of Bridgend County Borough Council, Councillor Mel Nott, have been made honorary life members of the newly formed Bridgend and County Borough Veterans Association.
Association chairman Councillor Wayne Morgan presented the framed certificates before the start of a special ceremony to mark the council’s flying of the first Armed Forces Day flag.
Mayor Tildesley said: “I am particularly honoured to receive this, especially on what is such a special day.”
