Santa appeal raises money for Charity
Pupils from a county borough school entered into the festive spirit by raising more than £11,000 for children less fortunate than themselves over the Christmas period. Pupils from Brynteg Comprehensive School joined with Bridgend County Borough Council's Family Support team to donate and distribute a sack of presents each to 196 youngsters and their families in the county borough. |

The Council's Family Support Team Manager Beverley Harrison said: "Staff and children spent a significant amount of time; thought and money on ensuring families who live in difficult circumstances have gifts on Christmas day. "The school delivered all gifts to Sunnyside offices and the Family Support Team coordinated the distribution. Social work teams then delivered the gifts to the families."
