Children visit Santa at Bryngarw Country Park
More than 300 local schoolchildren have visited Bryngarw Country Park to meet Santa Claus and bring back a free Christmas tree for their schools.
As the children enjoyed a walk through the woods to Santa’s grotto, park rangers were on hand to point out local wildlife and help the children spot signs of winter.
The children also enjoyed a game of reindeer-spotting before entering the grotto where Santa was waiting to read them a story and hand out Christmas presents.
The visit was designed to teach the children about their local environment and was organised by park rangers and the Forestry Commission, who hope to make it an annual event.
