Contacting your council at Christmas
Bridgend County Borough Council’s new Customer Service Centre will be open for business throughout the festive season.
With the exception of Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day, staff at the centre, based at Civic Offices in Angel Street, Bridgend will be on hand to deal with customer enquiries.
From Monday 22 December – Friday 2 January the centre will be open from 8am – 5pm, excluding weekends and bank holidays.
From Monday 5 January the centre will go back to its usual extended opening time which is 8am – 7pm on weekdays.
Customer Service Centre Manager Bev Davies said: “We recognise that residents will still have important issues to discuss and resolve at this busy time of year which is why we want to make doing business with the Council as convenient as possible.”
As well as face-to-face staff, the centre offers a bilingual service, digital signage and self-serve kiosks for online payments, viewing planning applications, downloading forms or obtaining copies of publications. Private interview rooms and specially-adapted furniture, Braille, large-print and multi-language translation services are also available.
Customers with disabilities can also ring ahead and book a parking space in the car park at Civic Offices to make their visit more convenient.
