Local buses display schoolgirl’s road safety poster
A nine year old girl from Porthcawl will see her poster appear on local buses after she won a competition organised by Bridgend County Borough Council’s Road Safety team.
West Park Primary School pupil Elin Louise Morris’s poster highlights the dangers of drinking and driving, especially over the festive period. The poster will now be displayed on the rear of First Cymru buses operating in Bridgend County Borough.
All schools were invited to take part in the competition, which was organised by the Road Safety team as one of several initiatives designed to promote greater road safety in Bridgend County Borough.
Statistics reveal that 587 drivers tested throughout Wales during Christmas 2007 were found to be over the limit.
