Have your say on borough's taxis
Bridgend County Borough Council has joined forces with Opinion Research Services to consult residents about the borough's taxi services.
The research programme, which runs from this month until February 2009, is designed to improve the provision and use of taxis in the area.
The research will be conducted through a mixture of postal questionnaires, public focus groups in Bridgend, Maesteg and Porthcawl and telephone interviews with local businesses and stakeholders.
There will also be two other focus groups in Caerau and Bettws and a final group in Bridgend with disabled residents.
ORS's team of field workers will also be undertaking multiple on street observations at taxi ranks.
The information gathered from the programme of research will be used to develop a taxi strategy designed to meet the changing needs of the borough's population.
