Corneli in the pink!
Pupils from Corneli Primary have been thinking pink for charity.
First, the school’s two special needs units came together for a special assembly for their families to raise money for Breast Cancer Research.
Under the guidance of teachers Paula McKay and Kate Lambert, they performed a presentation called ‘Professor Pink Pants’ and all the children wore items of pink clothing.
Six of the children acted as ‘Corneli’s Next Top Pink Models’ to give the rest of the school ideas for what they could wear for a special pink parade.
Then all pupils and staff, plus children from North Cornelly Playgroup, donated 50p to the charity in order to wear pink for the day.
A Pink Parade was held in the Junior Yard and £145 was raised.
Corneli head Jan Battrick said: “The children made a fantastic effort and we were delighted to be able to support this very worthwhile cause.”
