Corporate Improvement Plan 2004 - 2005
Introduction
The Council must produce an annual Corporate Improvement Plan. The purpose of the Plan is to provide an overview of our aims and objectives, give information on our performance over the past year in relation to these aims and objectives and also to outline our intended actions and targets for the forthcoming year. To make sure that our Plan meets these requirements and reflects local aspirations and priorities, we have produced this consultation document. For consultation to be meaningful it focuses only on key developmental aspects of our work; historical achievements will be included in the final version of the Plan, due to be published in June 2004.
Whilst the document is aimed primarily at the 'informed reader' such as partner organisations, views are also welcomed from anybody with an interest in our improvement programme for the year ahead. So please take part in this consultation by reading the plan and then answering the short series of questions about it.

Please feel free to either read the whole document or to browse any of the sections separately, although you will find it most useful if you read the Introduction Section as well as any individual sections. After you have read the plan you can take part in the consultation by completing the short online questionnaire (click on the link to 'Take Part in the Consultation'), or if you would prefer, you can also email us your views or write to us.
