Presented by Phoenix Theatre
To celebrate their 10th anniversary production, Phoenix Theatre.com brings you Frank Vickery’s hilarious comedy play, “All’s Fair”.
This hilarious but poignant comedy is set in the wartime Rhondda and captures perfectly the claustrophobic yet protective and supportive atmosphere of life in the Welsh Valleys in 1942. The two central characters — Dilys, in love with an American GI and Sophie, frustrated at being unmarried and happy to settle for Dilys's dull brother — are contrasted and astutely observed, as are the other members of the household: Mother, nearing the end of her years and precocious Brenda, trembling on the brink of adolescence. Come and enjoy a nostalgic night of not only one of Frank’s best comedy plays but also a live band and cabaret singer.
