Porthcawl youngsters with star quality are invited to show off their talents and audition for the Christmas panto to prove they have the all important, ‘panto factor’!
Forget the X Factor - there will be no Simon Cowell or Cheryl Cole sitting on the judging panel - but there will be a host of expert panto judges hoping to find the next panto star!
This year’s show, the firm family favourite Beauty and the Beast, is being staged at the Grand Pavilion theatre and the panto producers from Imagine Theatre are eager to get some of the town’s talented young stars of the future involved with this year’s panto run as dancers.
Children between the ages of eight and 16 are being invited to tread the boards and audition at the Grand Pavilion theatre on Saturday September 19 at 10am to show off their fancy footwork.
This year’s production is already shaping up to be the biggest and best pantomime ever and a real Christmas treat for the whole family.
Steve Boden, producer of the show from Imagine Theatre, said: “Auditioning youngsters for the panto is always tough because we see so much talent!
“We are looking for kids who obviously have to be good dancers, but also who have that extra something special – which is what we are nicknaming the panto factor!
“I am really excited about the auditions. The standard last year was really high so I can’t wait to see what surprises are in store for us this year!
“The production of Beauty and the Beast is already in full swing and we have recently announced that Real Radio’s Tony Wright will be starring in the show again this year!”
Tickets are now on sale for Beauty and the Beast, for more information contact the box office on 01656 815995.
