Love is most definitely going to be in the air come panto time – when unsuspecting gentlemen in the audience will be taking to the stage as a stooge!
The theatre is calling on the ladies of Porthcawl to nominate their husband, boyfriend, dad or brother, to play a very important role in this year’s production of Beauty and the Beast – the Dame’s boyfriend!
This year’s classic fairytale of Beauty and the Beast is going to be a magical show that the whole family will love and stars Disney Channel favourite Neil Roberts as Eugene, newcomer Claire Hammet as Beauty and Tony Wright returns to play the simply delicious Dame Dorothy Do-It!
Tony Wright, aka Dame Dorothy Do-It, said: “I love playing Dame! I really enjoyed playing the part of Dame in last year’s production of Aladdin and I am really looking forward to playing the part in Beauty and the Beast.
“I want to really encourage all the ladies out there to nominate that special gent in their lives, as taking to the stage as the stooge is great fun and the audience love it!”
Steve Boden, producer of the show from Imagine Theatre, said: “This year’s production of Beauty and the Beast is going to be the ultimate Christmas treat for mums, dads, kids and even grannies!
“During each show there will be one lets say rather messy scene for the ladies in the audience to get their own back on that special man in their lives, and we are looking for victims for every show!”
