They’ve sought him here, they’ve sought him there, and now the people of Porthcawl have found their shining new panto star!
Holby City favourite Neil Roberts will be swapping his scrubs for his sword when he takes to the stage in the Imagine Theatre production of Beauty and the Beast playing the part of Eugene.
The show is this year’s pantomime at the Grand Pavilion, producers Imagine Theatre’s second panto at the theatre.
Joining Neil on stage during the festive panto run is Jessica Sandry, who is making a welcomed return after starring in last year’s panto Aladdin as So-Shi and Vern Griffiths, who also starred in Aladdin as the genie, will be playing Pimple this year.
Newcomer Claire Hammet will be playing leading lady Beauty, while Real Radio’s Tony Wright will also be gracing the stage once again this year as the delectable dame!
Neil, who also stars in Disney’s Lite Bites series, said: “I can’t wait for rehearsals to start! I love panto and being part of such a great cast, at a great theatre is really exciting. I am sure that audiences are going to love this year’s show of Beauty and the Beast as it is such an all-round classic, fun family story.”
