Film Club

Porthcawl Film Club was established by the Grand Pavilion in 2010 using Arts Council of Wales funding. Film screenings are open to everyone (subject to the film classification) allowing you to enjoy classic cinema on your doorstep. If you wish, you can become more involved and join in with post-film discussions, help with promotion or even put forward suggestions for future film screenings.
Tuesday 20 September 7.30pm - in conjunction with Bridgend Giggles The Blues Brothers (1980, Cert. 15) Starring John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd as Jake and Elwood Blues in this classic musical comedy action fantasy.
Tuesday 11 October 7.30pm The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975, Cert. 15) The cult classic film of all time, written by Richard O’Brien who also stars along side Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon, Barry Bostwick and Meatloaf.
Tuesday 8 November 7.30pm A Clockwork Orange (1971, Cert. 18) Stanley Kubrick’s masterpiece set in future Britain where a prisoner volunteers for experimental aversion therapy in an effort to solve society’s crime problem…. but not all goes to plan.
