About us
Bridgend County Borough Council has eight leisure centres and swimming pools within the county borough, offering residents and visitors a wide range of activities.
Whether you are new to exercise, or returning, we have something to suit your needs! All our leisure centres have No Limits fitness suites along with excellent fitness classes for all ages.
Our swimming pools offer public swimming, swimming lessons for young and old, free swimming for over 60s and under 16s, plus many fun activities.

Maesteg Trampolining Club go from strength to strength.
Seven competitors secured a place at the British Championships in July and had outstanding results. The ultimate prize for Maesteg Trampoline Club was winning bronze in the inaugural, highly coveted Junior Girls "Superteam" Championships. The competition pitted the best clubs in Great Britain against each other, 22 groups took part with the current World and European medallists in the mix. All involved had a tremendous day and proved they truly are one of the best clubs in Britain. Congratulations all!

Sony Youth Games 2010 see Olympics come to the borough
Bridgend had a taste of the Olympics when the Sony UK Youth Games 2010 were held at Bridgend Recreation Centre. With over 1000 young people taking part in the event, representing 12 local secondary schools, it was one of the biggest events to take place in the area this year.

Trelales Primary School makes a splash at local swimming gala
Trelales Primary School scooped the top school award at the Bridgend County Borough Council ‘Swimming Challenge Grand Final’ event last week. The annual event was held at Pencoed Swimming Pool and saw top teams and swimmers from across the county borough go head to head. All those competing had qualified from five previous heats and as a result the standard was notably high.

Bridgend County Borough Council staff lead by example at the Bridgend Show
Last month saw the Bridgend Show take over the fields of Pencoed College. Staff members from Bridgend Country Borough Council’s Healthy Living Services showcased a selection of activities to keep all ages and abilities active this summer.
