Bridgend Business Forum
The Bridgend Business Forum has been established as a response to the growing need for a local organisation that can act as an effective voice for businesses in the borough. The forum represents local companies of all sizes and across all sectors in order to respond collectively to local issues and developments that are having an impact on their businesses.
With the support of the Council’s Economic Development Unit the Bridgend Business Forum has established a strong body for collecting the views of local businesses which can then be voiced with the Council, Welsh Assembly Government or any other relevant organisation.
It also provides local businesses with the opportunity to have a seat at the decision making tables, particularly through the work of the Local Service Board, on which is represented the Local Health Board, NHS Trust, College, South Wales Police, Environment Agency, Welsh Assembly Government and Local Authority.
As well as providing local businesses with a collective voice the Forum has also established excellent opportunities for networking and the sharing of best practice through its regular meetings and seminars. Members can also share in the benefits of affiliation to the newly formed South Wales Chamber of Commerce.
We are still actively recruiting members for the forum, for further information on how to join, click on the form below or e-mail: business@bridgend.gov.uk
