Batteries

Did you know that we can collect household dry batteries with your recycling? You can simply place AA, AAA, C, D, button batteries, mobile phone and laptop batteries into a clear plastic bag and put them alongside your other recycling containers.

Vehicle batteries can be recycled at our community recycling centres.

Textiles

If you’d like us to collect textiles with your recycling, you can place them into carrier bags and put them alongside your other recycling containers. Please don’t use black bags or charity bags as crews can’t see what’s inside black bags and are unable to accept charity bags.

For more information about recycling collections or to order replacement containers, please call us on 01656 643643 or email recyclingandwaste@bridgend.gov.uk

Small electrical items

Broken toasters, kettles, irons, hairdryers and other small electrical items can be recycled from the kerbside by placing them in a carrier bag of your own. Anything with a screen, such as a laptop or TV is not suitable for this collection and should be taken to the Community Recycling Centres instead.
