The Bridgend Local Development Plan was adopted by Bridgend County Borough Council on the 18th September 2013.

The Plan sets out the land-use planning policies of the County Borough which are used in the determination of planning applications. These policies include land-use allocations for different types of development (i.e. housing, employment, retailing, education, open space etc.) as well as criteria for assessing individual proposals. Potentially the Plan has a direct effect on the lives of every resident of the County Borough as well as major implications for landowners.
The LDP, will guide development in the County Borough up to 2021, and will be reviewed periodically.
