The Welsh Government has appointed Robert Melor BSc DipTRP DipDesBEnv DMS MRTPI MRICS, an Inspector from the Planning Inspectorate, to conduct the Examination to determine whether the Bridgend Local Development Plan (LDP) is sound. His role is to consider all the evidence and to produce a report for the council giving his recommendations for action. The Inspector's report will be binding of the council.

The Examination

It is likely that the Examination will consist of two elements, the Inspector will undertake full consideration of the LDP, all representations made and other relevant policy and legislative issues, and will hold a series of Hearing sessions designed to discuss significant issues identified with relevant parties. The Examination Hearing sessions will be held at the Innovation centre, Bridgend Science Park, Bridgend, CF31 3NA.

Pre- Hearing Meeting

A Pre-Hearing meeting for the Bridgend LDP Examination took place on Thursday 4th October 2012. The minutes are available here.
