Background

The council's Trading Standards team launched Scams Awareness Month in May. This campaign highlighted the many ways in which people can be scammed as well as the most effective ways to prevent scams from happening.

Every year more than three million people in the UK fall victim to scams. It is estimated that nearly half of people in the UK (48 per cent) have been targeted by a scam and that £3.5 billion is lost to scams every year. This equates to more than £9.5million per day.

About this questionnaire

We are eager to find out more about how scams are affecting the residents of the county borough. By completing this short questionnaire, you can help us identify scam patterns and sources. This will help us better understand the kind of scams that are taking place and how we can best tackle them.

Please click here to complete the questionnaire about scams.

This survey will be open from Monday 3 June until Monday 1 July 2013.
