Corporate plan 2013 - 2017

Medium Term Financial Strategy

Overview

In 2013, central Government advised all councils to make savings to their budgets as there would be a cut in the funding provided. Bridgend County Borough Council was advised to make savings of £36 million over four years. In July this year, that figure was revised by central Government, it is now expected these savings will have to increase to a total of £50 million between 2015 - 2019.

This consultation invites you to share your views on the council’s current financial situation and how to make the best use of the resources available.
