Bridges into Work 2
Bridges into Work 2 (BIW2) is an exciting project for economically inactive and unemployed people in Bridgend County Borough, providing opportunities for skills development, training, gaining qualifications, volunteering and/or work placements. Funded through the European Social Fund, the project aims to help over 400 people in the county borough by the end of 2017.
- Aged 25 years and over
- Not referred to the ‘Work Programme’ or ‘Work Choice’
- Long-term unemployed
- Not living in a Communities First postcode
- Economically inactive
- Facing barriers to employment

Training and qualifications
Bridges into Work 2 offers excellent opportunities through its training and qualification programme, ranging from personal confidence and budgeting through to vocational qualifications, such as food hygiene, HGV driving, beauty, dog grooming, teaching assistant and early years’ child development. We can also help people with CV writing, interview techniques and job search applications. We can also help to pay for transport, equipment and clothing needed, if necessary.
BIW2 also run one-to-one sessions in subjects tailored to each person, so please get in touch if you don’t see the training you are interested in, we may be able to help!
