Drop-in session looks at Porthcawl coastal flood risk

28 March 2017

Porthcawl residents are invited to attend a drop-in session to find out more about plans to manage the future risk of coastal flooding and erosion at Sandy Bay and along the Eastern Promenade.

Organised by Bridgend County Borough Council, the session will take place at the Grand Pavilion in Porthcawl on Thursday 30 March, and residents are welcome to call in at any time between 1:30pm – 7:30pm.

The council has conducted a study into what long-term coastal defence improvements should be considered for Porthcawl seafront, and the public were also invited to an initial fact-finding event which was held in December.

Featuring a series of information boards and presentation slides, the latest drop-in session on 30 March will discuss what works have already been undertaken and the potential options for the future, which are subject to securing Welsh Government funding.
