Council launches new social work website

A NEW website to promote social work jobs at Bridgend County Borough Council has been launched.

The new website – – provides those in the social work profession with more information on what it’s like to live and work in Bridgend County Borough.

The site promotes the benefits of working for Bridgend County Borough Council, plus it links to the current social work jobs and features blogs and video of social workers who work for the local authority.

Council Leader, Huw David, said: “Social services in Bridgend County Borough deliver a wide range of support services to vulnerable children so they can receive the best possible care. Social workers make a positive difference to people’s lives, helping them towards a brighter future.

“We are looking for qualified social workers, across many disciplines and at all stages of their careers, who want to make a real difference to the lives of the children who need our support.

“We are hoping that the launch of the new website will demonstrate our commitment to attract the best social workers to Bridgend County Borough Council.

“Whether you are looking for a career change, thinking of returning to the social care sector, or starting your working life from school or college, there is a huge range of work opportunities in social care.”
