What Kind of Support May be Available?

Your Council realises that people who are experiencing housing problems may need additional support. this might be:

• help to sustain their current tenancy (preventing homelessness occurring),

• help to resolve their short term housing problem themselves,

• to help them cope with becoming homeless,

• to help them resolve any issues they have which may have contributed to their homelessness or threatened homelessness

• or to assist with settling back into a normal way of living, perhaps after having been in an institution such as a prison or hospital.

If you think you will need additional support ask the Council what's available and they will assess your needs.
