In many areas there are specific refuges designed for women who are fleeing domestic violence. For obvious reasons the addresses are kept secret, and you normally have to 'phone up to get help (or you can be referred by the Police or housing advisers).

Note that,
if you have male children who are over 10, you may not be able to stay
at a Women's Refuge. Be sure to tell the person you are talking to and,
if necessary they will direct you to other help.
