What's On?

Throughout the year there are festivals and events along the coast at Porthcawl and in Bridgend Town Centre, (Bridgend Festivals) which cater for every taste.

There are traditional theatre venues at Blaengarw, Nantymoel and Porthcawl, and at least six other centres which host concerts and productions by a wide variety of choirs, operatic and drama societies.

Throughout the Summer months, outdoor performances are given at heritage locations such as Coity Castle and Bryngarw Country Park.

In addition to the giant Odeon Cinema complex at Bridgend Designer Outlet, there are cinema performances at Blaengarw and Maesteg,

Traditional events such as the Maytime Festival of Drama, Berwyn Festival of One Act Plays and the South Wales Miners' Eisteddfod continue to play an important role in the events calendar.

For further details contact the Arts and Culture Section of Bridgend County Borough Council on +44 (0)1656 642684.

There are many other events throughout the year and a full list of them all is available on the Southern Wales web site.
