Bridgend Youth Service

The Youth Service in Bridgend County Borough is concerned with the fundamental and personal development of young people between the ages of 11-25.

It strives to encourage, involve and empower young people in a democratic and decision-making process, which will enable them to become active citizens in their community and an overall global society. The youth service also provides a range of innovative and diverse range of opportunities that address the identified needs of all young people. Through the work of the Youth Service young people are supported in a process that enables them to become valued citizens within their communities. If you need to know something, more often than not you need to know right now! You also need to be able to trust that your source is giving you reliable information.

Jeanette Denley is the Principal Youth Officer of Bridgend Youth Service.

News and Events

This year the staff of Bridgend Youth Service at Tondu decided to be a bit more environmentally friendly by not sending Christmas cards to each other. Instead a collection was made for the NSPCC - Childline, with a total of £46 raised. Thanks to all who gave.
*One billion Christmas cards could end up in bins across the UK this year. One tree is needed to make about 3,000 cards*
