Development Control

This section deals with planning applications; advertisement applications; mineral applications; Listed Building consents; Conservation Area consents; Planning Appeals; planning enforcement complaints; general searches and Tree Preservation Orders.

Development Planning

This section deals with Development Plan preparation and monitoring, major land use policy issues, including regeneration, planning statistics, Development Briefs, regional and sub regional liaison including mineral and waste matters, and G.I.S. and Ordnance Survey issues.

Conservation and Environmental Policy

This section deals with the conservation and enhancement of the natural and built environment through sustainable development; historic building conservation; urban renewal and business development through various grant schemes; landscape enhancement and environmental improvement; landscape assessment, countryside and coastal management, including biodiversity, management of Kenfig National Nature Reserve. Local nature reserves and woodlands; and environmental education.
