Refuse Collection
As part of Bridgend County Borough Council's drive to improve, protect and clean up the County Borough, it is urging all residents not to put their rubbish bags out too early for collection.
Bags left outside are often ripped apart by cats and dogs, leaving an unsightly health hazard. Ripped and torn rubbish bags account for a significant amount of the litter on our streets in the County Borough.

Residents can help by putting their bin bags out no earlier than 7pm the evening before and no later than 7am on the day of collection.
The council would like to remind residents that failure to comply with this constitutes a contravention of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 and offenders will be liable to pay a £75 fixed penalty notice or could even face prosecution.
Attention must be drawn to injuries caused to refuse operatives by householders placing glass and sharp objects in plastic sacks. Please ensure that such items are carefully wrapped in newspapers, etc.
Bank Holiday Collection Arrangements
Collections during the week of the May Bank Holiday, commencing Monday 5th May, will take place on the day after the normal collection day.
