There are containers for asbestos at Tythegston and Brymenyn. However, you will need to obtain a tipping permit to dispose of this type of waste as explained below.
Tipping permits
The council operates a tipping permit system for householders wishing to dispose of household rubbish at the household amenity sites, using a non-domestic vehicle such as a van, pickup or large trailer. A large trailer is one with a load length between 1.5 and 2.4m (5’ and 8’). Trailers with a load length exceeding 2.4m (8’) will not be accepted.
The permit must be obtained before visiting. To get one, contact the Clean up the County helpline on (01656) 643 443. Permits are free of charge and upon request subject to an on-site inspection of the relevant waste.
