New Young Writing Squad for Bridgend County Borough Starting in October
A brand new Writing Squad for all young people aged 12 - 18 years will be beginning every
Sunday in the Grand Pavilion, Porthcawl from 12th October from 1pm - 3pm.
Organised by Bridgend County Borough Council's Arts & Culture Service in conjunction with
Academi - Welsh Literature Council for Wales, young people will be able to explore new opportunities for creative writing including poetry, scriptwriting, journalism, fiction, author visits and so much more.
In the first term, participants will research the history of the county borough, create their own face book pages of the area's important events and write a play on the history of the county borough which will be premiered in July 2009 by Bridgend Youth Theatre.
