All invited To Attend Committee Meetings
As part of Bridgend County Borough Council's budget consultation process five Overview & Scrutiny Committees will be scrutinising the Cabinet's draft budget proposals during a series of meetings and members of the public are invited to attend and observe.
During the meetings, the five Overview & Scrutiny Committees will be asking questions of the relevant Cabinet Member and Director about the draft budget proposals and members of the public are encouraged to attend to see the democratic process in action, while gaining a greater awareness of the role of the Overview & Scrutiny Committees and of the budget setting process.
The times and venues for the meetings of the individual Overview & Scrutiny Committees are as follows:
Corporate Services: 16 January 2006, 2.15pm at the Pyle Life Centre.
Cross-Cutting Issues: 17 January 2006, 2.15pm at Maesteg Town Hall.
Education, Leisure & Community Services: 19 January 2006, 9.30am at the Richard Price Centre.
Environmental and Planning Services: 20 January 2006, 9.30am at Ogmore Vale Life Centre.
Social Services and Housing: 23 January 2006, 2.15pm at Porthcawl Pavilion.
Following each meeting of the individual Overview & Scrutiny Committee, the Corporate Services Committee and the Chairs of the other four Overview & Scrutiny Committees will meet and arrive at recommendations and comments to Cabinet on their draft budget proposals. This meeting will take place in the Civic Offices, Angel Street, Bridgend, on 3 February 2006 at 9.30am.
